A stop off the Trans-Canada
On the long, straight run of Highway 1, Living Sky Casino sits on the North Service Road, just off the Trans-Canada. The casino puts the traffic at a million plus vehicles passing through the area each year. It opened in December 2008 and serves southwest Saskatchewan. There is plenty of parking on site.
Straight lines give a sense of scale, though the roads run longer than any of them. Medicine Hat, in Alberta, lies 208 km to the west, with Maple Creek at 129 km and Gull Lake at 55 km. Eastward, Herbert is 42 km off, Morse 54 km and Moose Jaw 160 km. Regina sits at 225 km. The strip at the top of the page places each town along Highway 1.

Open at the hour of arrival
From 10 AM to 2 AM daily, the casino floor is open. Live tables start at 5 PM; they shut at 1:30 AM from Sunday to Thursday and at 2 AM Friday and Saturday. Poker begins at 6 PM, and when it ends is not published. Late arrivals off the highway should note that the floor and the tables keep different hours.
Food keeps its own schedule. Horizons Restaurant takes diners daily between 11 AM and 10 PM. The Deli & Bar also opens daily at 11 AM; it closes at 1 AM Sunday to Thursday and at 2 AM Friday and Saturday. These times are Saskatchewan's, kept on Central Standard Time year round. A night on the RV lot

A SIGA Rewards card is what RV guests bring to the Guest Services desk to check in. Staff may also ask for a licence plate, names, contact details, the number of visitors, the length of stay and the reason for an extended stay. Approval of the stay rests with Security or the Casino Shift Manager, and spots are handed out in order of arrival, none reserved. No one aboard the RV can be under 19.
Stays carry no time limit, though the lot offers no electrical power. Tobacco is allowed on the lot, but open fires, tents, alcohol and narcotics are not. Garbage goes in the picnic area and is emptied twice a day. Loud music and parties are out, as are panhandling and soliciting. The casino publishes no hotel of its own.
Food and a charge
Horizons Restaurant is the sit-down room, open 11 AM to 10 PM. The Deli & Bar handles lighter, casual bites, among them dishes from Kookum's Kitchen, and pours spirits and pints. SIGA Rewards members get 10% off dining at the casino's restaurants.
The casino publishes no EV charging of its own. OpenStreetMap shows a Tesla Supercharger 0.4 km away in a straight line, tagged with 6 stalls, for customers, open 24/7. A Petro-Canada charging station sits at 0.6 km. The Pioneer Co-op Flo Charging Station, tagged open 24/7, is 1.3 km out. Confirm each one in a charging app before relying on it.

Inside the casino
The gaming floor has 196 slot machines, and their denominations run $.01, $.02, $.05, $.25 and $1. Table games number 9, but neither the games dealt nor the table minimums are made public by the casino. Poker starts at 6 PM. The Circuit, the electronic table games area, sits next to the Livin' Up Lounge, which has live entertainment beside the gaming floor. Shows are listed on the entertainment page at livingskycasino.ca.
Running the casino is SIGA, the Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority. It was established in 1995 as a First Nations non-profit, operates seven casinos in Saskatchewan and reinvests all net proceeds in the province. SIGA lists Living Sky Casino with Nekaneet First Nation.
Online play in Saskatchewan
PlayNow.com, which SIGA runs, is the one legal place to gamble online in Saskatchewan, for players 19 and over. Its debut in the province was in November 2022. There is no licence for private online casinos in Saskatchewan, and the provincial government describes competing sites as illegal platforms.
This guide marks each paid link Ad and keeps such links to its home page. They share a single destination, a private online casino without a Saskatchewan licence. Every click brings this guide a commission, and the current partner could one day be replaced by another.
Where to find help
- Confidential help at no cost, for gamblers and their families alike, comes from the Saskatchewan Problem Gambling Helpline, 1-800-306-6789, 24 hours a day.
- Game Break is a voluntary self-exclusion covering all Saskatchewan casinos and PlayNow.com, lasting 6 months to 5 years, with no shortening after it takes effect.
- Any SIGA casino takes requests for SIGA Voluntary Self-Exclusion, a ban of 6 months to 5 years from all nine casinos in Saskatchewan.
